Have you ever thought about having a private, candle-lit dinner for two in a bookstore? The thought had not crossed my mind until Partick called me about photography services when he was planning to propose to Jennifer at Sheafe Street Books. I absolutely love bookstores and am no stranger to Sheafe Street Books. I thought it was a fabulous idea. Then he told me that he had placed her engagement ring in a book that was to be hidden among the others on the shelf. This, my friends, was one of the most romantic proposals I have ever witnessed. Ken, the owner of the bookstore, and I set about the final prep for the occasion. Dinner was prepared and delivered by Cure. Then we waited. I pretended to browse books, while Ken pretended to work. The events of the evening unfold in the photos below. Enjoy!
A big thanks to the Portsmouth businesses that helped make this evening possible.
