A few weeks ago I was asked to photograph a wine tasting event at The Hotel Portsmouth, hosted by The Music Hall. I was excited about this, not only because of the fabulous location (have you been in The Hotel Portsmouth yet? If not, go. Now.), but also because it had been a number of years since I have been to such an event. I grew up on Long Island, known primarily for it's beaches, which may explain my fondness for all things having to do with the ocean. Long Island is also home to 52 vineyards, about 26 of these are open to the public for tastings. Guess what I used to do when I visited home? Beach first, then wine tasting.
The event was to commemorate a new Wine Club available through The Music Hall. The club was created in collaboration with Global Wine Cellars - a group that travels the globe tasting over 100 different wines just to choose the perfect bottle that may someday be sent to your home for you to enjoy. After the event was over I had a chance to sample a few of the wines. They are spectacular and well worth the club price. I don't have much time for wine tasting anymore and this club takes the guess work out choosing the right bottle. Here are some photos from the event. Enjoy them with a glass of wine. ;-)
